STRUCTURE OF THE CGJ REGISTRATION

The CGJ registration program is comprised of general principles and specific guidance on the use of environmental claims. The CGJ certification program has been structured by licensed engineers, attorneys and CPA’s that remain available for consultation to all registered Jobbers.

Jobber certified registration is intended to provide a "safe harbor" for Jobbers who want certainty about how to make environmental claims. CGJ registration does not represent all possible acceptable claims or disclosures that are permissible under Federal Trade Commission or Environmental Protection Agency guidelines. Some disclosures and customer guidance may be appropriate for use on labels but not in print or broadcast advertisements and vice versa. In some instances, the CGJ registration will indicate what context or contexts a particular type of disclosure should be considered.
