INTRODUCTION

The Certified Green Jobber™ Program was launched in 2008 in order to provide Jobbers throughout the U.S. and Canada with industry trends and analysis, marketing strategies and management insights needed to succeed in the highly competitive Jobber industry. CGJ is an "Education Only" program that exists to train, certify, and promote a Jobbers business.

CGJ is designed to provide Jobbers and their staff with a broad-based overview of good green standards, and to educate them about how to recommend greener product choices to customers.

Jobber Green Associate Training prepares your staff in sales methods that support and encourage careful, best practices for customers. The core training also provides an overview of new and existing product categories that can improve environmental conservation, air and water quality, and product integrity.

Green certification helps Jobbers communicate their products' environmental benefits while staying within the legal boundaries that govern such green marketing claims. We review green marketing campaigns to ensure they comply with the "Guides for the Use of Environmental Marketing Claims" (the "Green Guides") and existing laws and policies established by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and regulatory bodies.

As the FTC considers revisions to environmental marketing policies in its "Green Guides," GRC-Pirk has been helping Jobbers interpret these requirements, assess their impacts, and modify their marketing programs accordingly. GRC-Pirk regularly works with business-to-business and business-to-shop entities engaged in green advertising and marketing practices, including trade associations, national advertisers, distributors and manufacturers.
